Norwich Pride has always wanted make sure the local trans community are at the very heart of our event. We think we can go further in our mission to make Norwich Pride a safe, welcoming, supportive and change-making force for trans people in Norwich and across Norfolk.
This year we are launching our first Trans Advisory Group, steered by people from the trans community, who represent different trans identities and experiences.
We’re looking for volunteers who identify on the broad ‘trans spectrum’ – including intersex people and non-binary people who may or may not also identify as trans.
You will need to be available to attend the majority of meetings – listed below. We ask that you be willing to contribute to open and inclusive discussions on how to make Norwich Pride a great event for trans attendees and that you can agree to Norwich Pride’s Values.
The meeting dates are as follows:
Thursday 5th March
Thursday 26th March
Thursday 16th April
Thursday 7th May
Thursday 28th May
Thursday 18th June
Thursday 9th July
If this sounds like something you can help us with, we really want to hear from you!
Please complete the application form below. Applications close on 29th February 2020. We’ll let you know as soon as possible after this date if we’re inviting you to join the group.
If you have any questions, please email firstname.lastname@example.org and we’ll be sure to help.
We can’t wait to get started!
Please note, due to the nature of the Group, places are limited, but we will be holding a Trans Open Forum for Norwich Pride where anyone who identifies on the trans spectrum will be welcome to come along and share their views. Details of the Trans Open Forum will be coming soon. Please check back with us.
