Sponsors of Norwich Pride 2009

We are extremely grateful to all the organisations and individuals who are giving grants, raising money and supporting us to organise the first Norwich Pride.

Our first grant came from Norwich City Council which provided a big boost for our initial planning. Since then, lots of Unions have been very supportive as well as the Norfolk Community Cohesion Strategic Group.

A big thank-you to the Trades Council who sponsored the Norwich Pride banner that was ready in time for us to take on the Oxford Pride Parade - it looked brilliant and we felt very proud.

Local business "Bags of Fun" gave invaluable support in setting up our initial website and a big thank-you to Kirsty who raised £240 with a Plant Sale. Bernice from the Catherine Wheel is doing a brilliant job organising the Norwich Pride Float for the Lord Mayor's Procession. Thanks to the Catherine Wheel and the Castle for hosting our Open Meetings which were very popular.

The Norwich Arts Centre and Cinema City are proving to be perfect partners and have hosted Pride events for us and are now running events of their own for the LGBT Community.

It's been great working with the team at the Forum and we were very pleased to accept Future Radio's invitation to be the official Radio Station for the first Norwich Pride. Thank-you Jasmine for all the interviews. Thanks also to Neil Kittle at TEN who has been giving Norwich Pride loads of positive coverage in the "News at Ten" magazine.

Freebridge Housing are sponsoring the Cube in the Forum where we will be having lectures on Saturday 25th July and a special thank-you to the friends of John Drake who are sponsoring Richard's Blake's lecture in his memory.
