Pride Live! Music Competition for Norwich Pride 2011 - Download medley [5 MB mp3]
The tracks in this medley have a connection. If you can work out the artists and/or song titles you should be able to work out the link. Two of the connected words in the names of the songs or artists are spelt wrongly - one has an extra letter and one is missing a letter. Send the competition link to your friends and family - the prize is an enormous bag of Pride Goodies including a variety of mugs, wristbands, badges, a Pride Live! radio, prints of City Hall and the Rainbow Scarf and of course loads of prestige so it's easily shared.

Future Radio, Norwich's own community radio station, has been supporting Norwich Pride.

Listen to the ShakeUp podcast on Future Radio (29:27 minutes; 17.97 MB) - recorded just before ShakeUp, Mike Stonard from Future Radio talks to Norwich Pride about the ShakeUp event and plans for the second Norwich Pride on 31 July. With music from ShakeUp performers The Killer Queens, SeanSeraphim and Hannah Brackenberry.

Poet and artist Vince Laws performed a 15 minute poetry play, The Small Frayed Knot, live on Future Radio, on 28/02/2010, as part of the Platform arts show.

Vince also performed part of The Small Frayed Knot on Saturday 20 March at Norwich Playhouse in Platform Unplugged, an evening of performing arts and entertainment that showcased Future Radio's flagship arts programme on the stage.

'Mr Laws writes in bold and unadorned language of difficult and complex emotions, of love and joy, pride and loss and anger. Drawing on a tradition of 'confessional poetry', his work is unsparing, unsentimental, and resolutely avoids mawkishness while never ducking or hiding from the uncomfortable issues -- the difficulties of living with HIV, for example, or of making his way in the world as a proud, gay man -- that he tackles head on.' - Mark Bond-Webster, Host, Norfolk New Writers' Forum/Future Radio.

'His work sometimes deals with deeply personal and painfully political subject-matter but his stage presence is so warm, genuine and witty that it made the journey a pleasure for this audience member.' - Francesca Beard, November 2009.
