Pride 2009 Performers
With a voice like this...powerful enough to be arresting, yet sweet enough to flavour any summer evening, its difficult to find something to dislike about Miss Swallow.
Carrie Anne Guthrie is an up coming new comedian. Knock me down and steal my teeth funny, she will make you laugh with her delightful southern charm. Carrie Anne ran the Pride Comedy Workshop for us with Kirsty Hudson; compered the Pride Comedy Evening and wowed the crowd on Millennium Plain.
Gary gets the prize for having the proudest mum at Norwich Pride - his blues music was a hit with Jeni and the crowd at the Pride Show on Millennium Plain.
These girls were wonderful at the screening of "Priscilla Queen of the Desert" at Cinema City on Thursday 23rd July and of course on Millennium Plain on Pride Saturday. Watch a great video of their performances at: www.youtube.com/watch?v=zWHUMU-jeUE
Started with the aid of an Awards For All grant in 2000, the Norwich Samba 'bateria' (as its known in Brazil), now has over 50 members of all ages. Norwich Samba uses a range of percussion instruments that produce the typically exciting sound of the Rio Carnival with a UK twist. They did an amazing job leading the Pride Parade and everybody loved the dancers!
Sean Seraphim holds hands with Bjork to Brian Molko, Tori Amos to Madonna.... somewhere he fits into the rocky, glam, yet pop arenas all in one song, with an edge that could only be described as the 'Seraphim Sound'.
