OUT at the Movies: My Beautiful Launderette
5 Sep, 2010 ~ 5:30pm

OUT at the Movies: My Beautiful Launderette (15)

"A post-colonial, bi-racial, queer, cinema masterpiece and a perfect slice of Thatcherite Britain with a fab gay romance to boot!" – Gay Interest Films

We've probably had more requests to show this film for 'OUT at the Movies' than any other title. If you already know and love it then be sure to come and enjoy the rare opportunity to watch it on the big screen and in good company. If you're yet to discover what all the fuss is about then we have a real treat in store for you.

This month we're pleased to welcome Julie Bremner, Campaigns Team Leader from the Norwich Pride Collective, to introduce the screening.

To book call 0871 902 5724 or visit Cinema City, St Andrews Street, Norwich, NR2 4AD

Norwich OUT Write: LGBT writing workshop
UEA Arts Building, room 2.01
27 Sep, 2010 ~ 5:00pm

N.O.W. LGBT writing workshop

Dr B J Epstein will be running the workshop and writes:

"Hi all,

I've heard back from a number of you and it sounds like 27 September works well for quite a few people. So let's schedule it for 5 pm. If you need to come a bit later, that is completely fine. Just arrive when you can.
I have put in a booking request for room 2.01 on the second floor of the arts building. If this changes, I will let you know.
On 27 Sept, let's talk about flash fiction and prose poems. The reason for this is that we will need short pieces for the lgbt anthology that our group is putting together along with Vince's poetry group. So I encourage you to read up a bit on flash fiction and/or prose poetry and to start working on some short pieces of writing. You are not required to submit to the anthology, of course, but if you want to have work in it, you will need to submit in October.
See you in a few weeks!

Best wishes,
BJ"
