The Norfolk Fire and Rescue Service have written to explain why they will be flying the rainbow flag with Pride this summer….

”We are proud to be flying the Rainbow Flag in celebration of Norwich Pride as we have done for the last 10 years.  We are committed to the recruitment, retention and progression of staff representing the increasing diversity of Norfolk to-day.  Flying the flag is just one way we can demonstrate that commitment to our staff and the people we serve.

It is amazing to think that this is Norwich Pride’s 10th year.  I can remember when it was a dream, then a reality thanks to the vision and determination of the Pride Council and Pride Organisers.  We are delighted to be a part of this wonderful celebration of the richness that diversity and inclusion can bring to our city and our county.”
